Why This Role Matters The Bar Teammate Lead serves as a hands-on leader within a high-energy, counter-service food and beverage outlet. This role helps guide daily service flow, supports guest experience and ensures operational readiness by working alongside the team while providing real-time leadership and support. What You’ll Do Lead by example through active participation in order taking, cocktail service, food running, bussing, cleaning and stocking Provide real-time direction and support to teammates to ensure smooth service flow Monitor counter service operations to maintain speed, accuracy and quality Support bar operations including preparing and serving cocktails, beer and wine responsibly Maintain cleanliness, organization and proper stocking of bar, counter and service areas Assist in training new team members and reinforcing service standards Address guest questions and concerns promptly and escalate issues when needed Communicate effectively with leadership and teammates to anticipate service needs Uphold food safety, sanitation and alcohol service regulations at all times Maintain professional appearance and service standards throughout each shift Why You’ll Love Working With Us Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, including a 25% 401(k) match Generous employee discounts across Heritage hotels, restaurants, spa and retail Complimentary meals during scheduled shifts Free employee parking Supportive team culture with opportunities for growth and advancement A workplace rooted in New Mexico pride and community values Requirements Previous food and beverage service experience required Experience in bar service, counter service or high-volume environments preferred Strong leadership presence with the ability to guide a team while working alongside them Excellent customer service and communication skills Working knowledge of POS systems and bar service operations Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and service standards Current New Mexico Food Handler and Alcohol Server certifications required Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift up to 30+ pounds Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed
