Responsible for maintaining assigned area and backing up the bartender to assure guest service. Maintains a well-stocked and fully prepared bar and stocking functions for the dry goods and liquor rooms. Maintains the cleanliness and organization of assigned area. Performs routine cleaning and day-to-day maintenance of all bar equipment. Requires a working knowledge of various cleaning supplies and chemicals, including safe handling, storage, and usage requirements. Become knowledgeable of all drink recipes and proper glass to use for each drink. Always conduct yourself in a manner that reflects a positive, professional image for Ameristar Casino Black Hawk. Practice and observe safety rules and regulations and encourage others to do so. Keep the bar completely stocked for the next shift. Must learn to act without supervisor but informing the bartender on duty of any problems. Become knowledgeable of the operation of the cash and comp procedures, blenders, strainers, coffee makers, glass washers and coolers. Have and keep updated all current work cards: TIPS Training. Responsible for learning the operation of liquor, soda, and juice guns. BRING US YOUR BEST. Able to communicate sufficiently with co-workers and supervisors. Must be able to handle a flexible schedule. Customer service skills. Able to lift fifty (50) pounds. Experience in bar environment preferred. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
