Overview The Barback is responsible for supporting the smooth running of the beverage service. They must be organized, have an excellent attention to detail and adapt well to an ever changing fast paced environment. This role will pay an hourly rate of $17.60 CAD and is tip eligible Benefits for Part-Time roles: Pension matching EVERGREEN ROLE: Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; there is no application deadline Responsibilities Assisting with opening and closing duties. Organization and restocking of the bar with Ice, alcohol, wine, glassware, garnishes. Running and serving of cocktails, beer, and wine in a high paced environment. Keeping the bar clean by wiping down surfaces, removing soiled glassware, scrubbing coolers and storage areas, emptying trash receptacles, and removal of recycled bottles. Learning about food menu items and having a strong knowledge of house as well as classic cocktails. The preparation of some complicated syrups, infusions and other items needed to execute a high-end bar program. Performs other job-related duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Must be Smart Serve Certified. Knowledge of beverage products. Attention to detail. Ability to work in a team environment. Excellent verbal communication skills. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Able to stand/walk for long periods of time. Ability to work well under pressure and continue to communicate. Must be able to work different shifts, which may include holidays, evenings and weekends. Able to legally work in Canada. Strengthened by our Differences.
