Description Position Summary: As a barback, you will assist bartenders in various tasks to ensure efficient operation of the bar. You'll be responsible for stocking supplies, cleaning, and helping to maintain a clean and organized bar area. Your role is vital in providing excellent customer service and creating a positive experience for patrons. Requirements RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS: Stocking: Restock liquor, beer, wine, and other beverages as needed to ensure a sufficient supply during peak hours. Supply Management: Monitor inventory levels of bar supplies such as napkins, straws, glassware, and ice, and replenish as necessary. Cleaning: Keep the bar area clean and tidy by wiping down counters, collecting empty glasses and bottles, and disposing of trash. Assisting Bartenders: Assist bartenders in preparing and serving beverages promptly and accurately. Maintaining Equipment: Ensure that bar equipment, such as blenders, taps, and refrigeration units, is clean and in working order. Compliance: Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and alcohol beverage control policies to maintain a safe and legal environment. Teamwork: Collaborate with bartenders, servers, and other staff members to provide excellent service and support overall operations. Additional Tasks: Assist with special events, promotions, and other duties as assigned by management. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in stocking and cleanliness. Team Player: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with other staff members. Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently during busy periods. Legal Requirements: Must be of legal drinking age and comply with all local laws and regulations regarding the service of alcohol. Reaching: Capable of reaching below or at the waist and overhead. Communication Skills: Effective speaking skills to convey instructions and communicate with coworkers clearly and accurately, especially in a loud or busy environment. Vision: Peripheral vision and near and far visual acuity are essential. Hearing: Ability to hear and respond to inquiries and instructions effectively in a busy environment.
