Reports to: Bar Manager, Araxi

JOB SUMMARY:

Working alongside the Bartender, the Barback ensures the Bartender has everything they need during service. This is a great opportunity to learn the ins and outs of bartending in a premium environment.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in barbacking or bussing preferred
  • Mixology or Bartending certification is a strong asset
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Well organised and able to work at speed and deal with high volume
  • Proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast pace environment
  • High energy self-starter with a can-do friendly attitude
  • Ability to lift heavy weights and be on your feet for long periods of time
  • A desire to learn
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays
Responsibilities

(other duties may be assigned as required)

  • Assists with opening and closing bar operations
  • Restock and replenish bar inventory as needed
  • Monitors and maintains overall appearance and proper sanitation of work area
  • Washes glasses and service equipment
  • Changes out kegs
  • Assists with preparation of fruit garnishes, juices, syrups and purees
  • Anticipates customers needs, providing direct assistance where possible
  • Assists with back of house liquor inventory
  • Support service staff where needed
