Description Now Hiring: Barback – Èlephante Santa Monica Pay: at least $17.81/hr + Tips Location: Santa Monica, CA Schedule: Full-time & Part-time Available (nights & weekends required) Èlephante Santa Monica is a high-energy, high-volume coastal restaurant and lounge known for its elevated cuisine, exceptional cocktails, and vibrant service culture. We’re looking for a hardworking, proactive Barback to support our bar team and help us deliver a seamless, elevated guest experience. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives behind a busy bar, stays organized under pressure, and is eager to grow within an upscale hospitality environment. What You’ll Do Support bartenders during service by restocking spirits, beer, wine, ice, garnishes, glassware, and supplies Maintain bar cleanliness, sanitation, and organization at all times Assist with prep tasks including juicing, batching cocktails, cutting garnishes, and stocking mixers Ensure all bar stations are fully set up before service and properly broken down at the end of the shift Remove trash, bar mats, and empty glassware throughout service Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines Communicate effectively with bartenders, servers, and management Provide excellent internal guest service by supporting the bar team’s needs What We’re Looking For Previous barback or bar support experience in a high-volume restaurant or bar preferred Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude Ability to lift 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and handle repetitive motions Comfortable working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment Flexible availability — nights, weekends, and holidays required Current Food Handler and Alcohol Awareness certifications (or ability to obtain upon hire) Team player with strong communication skills and a positive demeanor Why Join Us $17.81/hr + tips Opportunities for growth within the bar and FOH teams Work in a high-profile, dynamic, and upscale environment Employee dining perks & benefits eligibility (for full-time team members) If you’re motivated, reliable, and ready to learn in one of Santa Monica’s most exciting venues, we’d love to hear from you.
