Description

Job Title: Barista
Location: Deansgate Manchester
Hours: Full-time / Part-time available
At Doux Chaton
We are a family-run restaurant built on family values, and we’re looking for an experienced and passionate Barista to join our team. Working alongside our Head Barista, you’ll bring proven skills, consistency, and enthusiasm to our coffee program while delivering excellent service to our guests.
About the Role:
As a Barista, you’ll be responsible for preparing high-quality coffee with precision and care, ensuring every drink meets the standards set by our Head Barista. You’ll already have a strong foundation in coffee knowledge, from espresso extraction to alternative brewing methods, and you’ll be confident with latte art — able to produce at least three consistent patterns. This is a great opportunity to continue honing your craft while being part of a close-knit, supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve consistently excellent coffee and beverages
  • Confidently create latte art with at least three patterns (e.g. heart, tulip, rosetta)
  • Follow and uphold recipes and quality standards set by the Head Barista
  • Maintain excellent knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods, and equipment
  • Keep the coffee station and equipment clean, tidy, and well-maintained
  • Deliver warm, attentive customer service, sharing your passion for coffee with guests
  • Work collaboratively with the Head Barista and wider team to ensure smooth daily operations

About You:

  • Proven experience as a barista in a specialty coffee environment
  • Skilled in latte art with the ability to consistently create at least three patterns
  • Strong knowledge of espresso preparation and other brewing methods
  • Consistent attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work
  • Customer-focused, approachable, and enthusiastic about sharing coffee knowledge
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced hospitality environment
  • A team player who can collaborate and support colleagues during busy service

What We Offer:

  • Competitive pay
  • Flexible working hours
  • Opportunities to continue learning from an experienced Head Barista and grow within the team
  • A supportive, family-run environment where your skills and passion are valued

If you’re an experienced barista who takes pride in every cup — and can bring skill, consistency, and latte art flair — we’d love to hear from you.
