OVERVIEW

We are seeking a passionate experienced Barista at our little coffee shop, Brewtique in Callington.
We have a strong reputation to keep up, you will be expected to mostly work on your own using your own initiative. The role includes, opening and closing the shop with various cleaning duties, we carry a high standard of cleanliness. We are seeking a polite and professional individual to make and prepare coffee and various other drinks, Prepare and make toasties and other products on our menu.
Must be able to work Thursday, Friday & Saturday.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous barista experience essential.
• Understanding of food safety practices and regulations is highly desirable.
• Strong serving skills with the ability to create an inviting atmosphere for customers.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
• Assist with food preparation, including pastries and light snacks, while adhering to health regulations.
• Engage with customers, taking orders accurately and efficiently while providing recommendations based on their preferences.
• Handle cash transactions and operate the till, demonstrating basic math skills for accurate billing.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment and enhance customer satisfaction.
