We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your expertise in food preparation and safety, along with your ability to manage time effectively, will contribute to the overall success of our café.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in food preparation or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
• Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour to engage with customers effectively.
• Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated.

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
• Ensure all food items are prepared according to health and safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, including equipment and utensils.
• Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any questions they may have.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, utilising basic maths skills for processing payments.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
• Uphold the café’s standards for quality and customer service at all times.
