JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Barista Lead to join our team. The Barista will greet customers, take orders, prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, and maintain a clean and organized workspace. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and have a passion for coffee and tea.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in coffee service or the food industry is preferred but not required.
  • Strong math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately.
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food handling safety standards.
  • Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to operate POS systems and perform basic math calculations.
  • A friendly demeanor with excellent communication skills to engage with customers effectively.
  • Knowledge of coffee and tea brewing techniques.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to standard recipes.
  • Operate the espresso machine and other equipment efficiently while adhering to safety guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
  • Assist customers in selecting menu items and provide exceptional service throughout their visit.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system and ensure proper cash handling procedures.
  • Monitor inventory levels of supplies and communicate needs to management.
  • Follow food safety protocols in food preparation and handling.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
