JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista and Shop Assistant Manger (Or Manager) to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere in our alternative coffee shop. Your expertise in coffee and customer service will play a vital role in enhancing the overall customer experience.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous barista experience or strong coffee knowledge is preferred, but not necessary.
  • Familiarity with Square and Uber Eats POS systems is a plus.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
  • Knowledge of a LaMarzocco KB90
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and food preparation techniques in a café or food service environment.
  • Strong time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items with precision and care.
  • Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order processing and payment transactions efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and equipment.
  • Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  • Demonstrate strong time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours.
  • Adhere to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures at all times.
  • Assist with inventory management, including restocking supplies as needed.
