JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista/Receptionist to join our team at Joe & Co. and Lola Lash Bar. The Joe & Co. cafe is located inside the Lola Lash Bar Marda Loop location and offers a patio space. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and matcha and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our customers. Your role will involve utilizing POS systems, managing orders efficiently, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous barista or coffee experience preferred
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a positive experience for guests
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
• Knowledge of food safety practices in the food industry
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Prepare and serve coffee, matcha, iced lattes, tea, and other beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences
• Operate POS systems for order processing and cash handling
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area and salon
• Adhere to food safety guidelines during food preparation and handling
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of supplies
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours
• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while following proper cashiering procedures
