Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Team Leader to join our team in a fast-paced food service environment. As a Team Leader, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring food safety, and maintaining a clean and efficient workspace. In addition to working alongside the crew, you will oversee daily operations, provide training, and guide team members to ensure smooth and efficient service. Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  • Accurately handle cash transactions and operate the cash register with attention to detail.
  • Prepare a variety of coffee and beverages according to standardized recipes and customer preferences.
  • Fold cake boxes and carefully package cakes and pastries, ensuring all items are handled with care for presentation and quality.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, kitchen, and restrooms to uphold health and safety regulations.
  • Create and manage weekly staff schedules to ensure proper coverage during operating hours.
  • Train, coach, and support new and existing staff to maintain high service and product standards.
  • Assign roles and delegate tasks effectively to team members, ensuring all stations are covered.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and implement changes to enhance overall operations.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
  • Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere and enhance their dining experience.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred; leadership or supervisory experience is an asset.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices is a plus; training will be provided as needed.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as required.
  • A positive attitude, teamwork mentality, and willingness to support others are essential traits for success in this role.
