Role Overview The Barista / Bartender prepares and serves high-quality beverages while delivering friendly, personalized service. It maintains a clean, organized bar and café, handles POS transactions, supports smooth service with the hotel team, and promotes signature offerings—all while ensuring full compliance with health and safety standards. Key Accountabilities: Prepare and serve a variety of high-quality coffee, espresso drinks, cocktails, and other beverages, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and exceptional quality in every order. Greeting guests warmly with a genuine smile, actively engage with them to understand their preferences, and offer personalized drink recommendations. Describe beverage options and menu items in an engaging and knowledgeable manner. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee and bar areas, including equipment, glassware, tools, and supplies. Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately using the hotel’s point-of-sale (POS) system. Restock and replenish bar and café inventory, ensuring all supplies are available and properly stored. Collaborate closely with hotel staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely beverage delivery during peak periods. Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards, maintaining a safe, clean, and professional environment. Assist in the setup and breakdown of bar and café areas at the beginning and end of shifts. Promote the hotel’s beverage offerings, including seasonal specials, signature drinks, and new menu items to elevate the guest experience. Respond promptly to guest requests and prepare customized or special-order beverages, ensuring complete guest satisfaction. Minimum 2 years of experience as a Barista or Bartender in a 5-star hotel. Strong beverage knowledge, including coffee and cocktails; relevant certifications are an advantage. Degree in Hospitality or Tourism is considered an asset. Excellent command of English; additional languages are considered an asset. Experience with MICROS or other POS systems is preferred. Candidate’s Profile: Passion for delivering exceptional guest service. Pleasant, customer-oriented personality with excellent communication skills.
