Position Summary: Prepares beverages and assists in meal service for residents and potential visitors, ensuring a high standard of customer satisfaction. Provides high quality service and the proper cleaning and sanitation of the dining rooms and bistro/bar. Pay Range: $15.50 - $18.60 Employment Type: Full-Time Schedule: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Essential Responsibilities: * Prepare beverages and garnishes for bistro/bar. * Set up dining room tables. * Take tableside food orders and deliver to residents in an organized, timely and courteous manner. When appropriate, offer available options to exceed resident expectations. * Ensure that all bistro/bar areas are maintained in a clean and safe manner and in compliance with established infection control procedures. Including proper work attire and following proper grooming and hygiene principles. * Deliver food carts to designated places and ensure carts are returned to kitchen. * Collect and remove trash and garbage to designated containers. * Clean work areas, dining room and bar/bistro, equipment. * Wash bar glasses using approved procedures. * Assumes all other position related responsibilities as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. * Communicates effectively and tactfully, while recognizing age, cultural orientation, needs, abilities and physical condition. * Ability to display a sense of caring, concern, compassion and dignity for residents. * Ability to establish and maintain effective and professional working relationships with residents, families, visitors, and employees. * Well organized and attentive to detail. * Ability to manage time productively. * Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. * Ability to interact with residents, visitors, and employees. Education, Training, Experience: * High school diploma or successful completion of GED. * Experience in a food service institutional setting. Required Licenses, Registration, and/or Certifications: 1. Ability to obtain TIPS or other bar management certifications. Work environment: * Sudden extreme changes in temperature, subject to burns, cuts, and the possibility of injury from falls on slippery floors.
