Job Description Cafe Java at Novotel Dubai Al Barsha is seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating exceptional coffee experiences for our guests while maintaining a clean and welcoming cafe environment. Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, including espresso-based beverages, drip coffee, and specialty drinks Greet customers warmly and take orders accurately Operate and maintain espresso machines, coffee grinders, and other cafe equipment Handle cash transactions and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards Recommend and upsell coffee products and cafe menu items Assist in inventory management and restocking supplies Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth cafe operations and excellent customer service Stay updated on coffee trends and share product knowledge with customers Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience as a barista preferred Strong knowledge of coffee types, brewing methods, and cafe operations Proficiency in operating espresso machines and other cafe equipment Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and outgoing personality Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Basic math skills and cash handling experience Food handling certification preferred Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plus Additional Information Flying Elephant Job-Category: Food & Beverage Job Type: Permanent Job Schedule: Full-Time
