Description POSITION SUMMARY: The Barista's primary responsibility is to deliver outstanding service to guests in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures. Top 5 Specific Job Functions: Greets guests in a positive, friendly manner and makes them feel welcome Take and input orders into Agilisys, receive payment and make proper change, complete required transactions, and categorize tendered receipts by media type Prepare and serve food and beverage items to guests Operate a commercial coffee/espresso machine, making specialty beverages Bid farewell to guests, using the guest’s name when known, and encourage them to return Other Specific Job Functions: Understanding of MMS to order a product Routinely cleans all kitchen equipment and disposes of all trash daily Consistently follow the sequence of service, utilizing proper procedures standardized by the department Itemize bills correctly and efficiently secure payment Expedite the order in an accurate and timely manner Pack the orders as per guests’ preferences and complete the order with any necessary condiments Perform all opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment Refill and stock all supplies and machines within the outlet Maintain the cleanliness of all front and back of the house areas within the outlet Unload warehouse orders and stock the orders in the designated storage Work as a team, assisting all guests’ and employees’ needs and inquiries Ensuring the product is picked up from the warehouse and brought to the outlet/outlets Ability to organize Stocking of side stations, with dry goods Maintaining the cleanliness of the lobby Maintain health code standards Maintain clean and neat guest-facing areas Stock product as needed Ability to lift to 40lbs Ability to put away large product orders Good use of time management Performs all other job-related duties as requested This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee in this position. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure; work indoors and outdoors, as well as being exposed to hot/cold surfaces, steam, and wet floors. Most work tasks are performed indoors; however, there are events where outdoor activities are required. Indoor temperatures are moderate and controlled by internal environmental systems.
