BARISTA REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in food and beverage preparation or customer service preferred.
• Training and willingness to continue learning about food and beverage preparation.
• Exceptional listening and communication skills.
• Availability to work around peak hours, including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

• Maintains the highest level of standards for all food and drink preparation including proper grinding of coffee beans, top quality espresso shots freshly and specialty drinks.
• Operating and maintaining coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment.
• Understanding and adhering to recipes and brewing techniques.
• Customizing drinks to customer preferences and dietary restrictions.
• Building relationships with regular customers.
• Suggesting new menu items or promotions.
• Staying updated on beverage recipes and cafe promotions.
• Upholding brand standards and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
• Communicating customer feedback to the team.
• Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
• Keeps work area clean and organized so that co-workers and management can locate resources and products as needed.
• Assists in keeping work area clean and well presented.
