Position Overview: The Barista at Edgewood Tahoe Resort will have a deep appreciation for specialty coffee, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to outstanding customer service. The Barista ensures all beverages are prepared, presented, and served according to the resort's standards, and is dedicated to delivering an exceptional coffee experience. Key Responsibilities: * Expertly prepare and serve a variety of espresso-based drinks, and other specialty beverages following precise recipes and techniques. * Maintain consistency in coffee quality, taste, and presentation. * Provide an elevated, welcoming experience for guests, guiding them through the menu and offering personalized recommendations. * Engage with customers to educate them about coffee beans, flavor profiles, and brewing methods. * Maintain a polished and professional demeanor, ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere. * Assist with inventory management, restocking supplies, and monitoring ingredient freshness. * Properly operate, clean, and maintain all coffee equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, and brewers. * Ensure cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar and seating areas, adhering to health and safety standards. * Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall success of the team and business. Qualifications and Skills: * Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays. * Previous experience as a barista in a specialty or high-end coffee shop is highly preferred. * Strong knowledge of espresso extraction, milk texturing, and manual brewing methods. * Excellent customer service and communication skills. * Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. * Passion for coffee, hospitality, and continuous learning. Physical Requirements: * Must be able to safely lift, move, and stack items weighing up to 40 lbs. * Able to perform physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
Responsibilities
