Description Job Title: Barista Location: Sloan Museum of Discovery Reports To: Café Coordinator FLSA Status: Non - Exempt **This is a part-time position with a pay rate of $13.73 per hour – must be available to work weekends** GENERAL DESCRIPTION The barista is responsible for serving all products with friendly, individualized attention towards each customer. He/she is also responsible for educating customers about our premium coffees and products. The barista fulfills any other duties the supervisor assigns and represents Coffee Beanery and Sloan Museum of Discovery in a professional manner. RESPONSIBILITIES Store Operation Stock coolers and shelves appropriately Assists Special Events Team with large events Other duties as assigned. Service and Product Ensures that all customers are educated on our products and services Maintains the highest quality, consistent product standards Follows all Company drink recipes and procedures Develops an understanding of coffee and all Coffee Beanery products Prepares all Coffee Beanery drinks and food products in an expedited yet flawless manner Answers customer questions regarding coffee blends, preparation, and product freshness Requirements QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED Must be available to work as needed including weekends, evenings, and special events Well-organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task. Must have effective problem solving/decision making skills. Must be able to lift up to 30lbs and frequently bend/twist from the waist. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Must have high school diploma or GED Reliable transportation is a must
Responsibilities
