OVERVIEW

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Barista to join our team in a fast-paced café environment. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and customer service, with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality beverages and food prep for a small menu while providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous barista or coffee experience preferred, with a strong understanding of coffee preparation techniques.
• Familiarity with Square POS systems is a plus.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
• Strong sales skills to promote menu items and enhance the customer experience.
• Knowledge of food safety practices related to food handling and preparation in the food industry.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
• Operate the Square POS system for order processing and cash handling.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and ensuring satisfaction with their experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations, equipment, and dining areas.
• Follow food safety guidelines and ensure compliance with health regulations during food handling and preparation.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, pastries, and other supplies.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
• Perform basic math calculations for order totals and cash handling transactions.
