Foundry Collective & Coffee Bar is a locally-loved café in the heart of Carleton Place, serving up high-end specialty coffee, gourmet sandwiches, freshly baked pastries and desserts, and comforting seasonal soups. We’re a tight-knit team that thrives on connection—both with each other and with our amazing community.
We’re currently looking for someone who’s as passionate about quality coffee and fresh food as we are. This hybrid role includes both barista work and kitchen support, so if you love being on your feet, multitasking, and making someone’s day one cup (or cookie) at a time, this might be the perfect fit.

THE ROLE

As a Barista & Kitchen Assistant, you’ll play a key part in both the front-of-house and back-of-house experience. You’ll serve up handcrafted drinks, prep light food, and keep our café clean, organized, and welcoming. Every drink you craft and every task you tackle contributes to the warm, elevated experience our customers know and love.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Create consistently high-quality drinks while offering friendly, fast, and engaging customer service
• Offer thoughtful recommendations for coffee, tea, and treats
• Keep the café clean, well-stocked, and beautifully merchandised
• Prep ingredients, assist with baking, and help with kitchen tasks like sandwich and soup prep
• Maintain a safe and tidy workspace in line with food safety and health standards
• Support your teammates, pitch in where needed, and help create a positive work environment
• Lift and carry items such as milk crates and other café/kitchen supplies as required
• Follow all café procedures, contribute to minimizing waste, and protect company assets
