If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you at our KVH Daily Dose Kafé. GENERAL SUMMARY: The Barista prepares and serves high-quality beverages from the Daily Dose Kafé, provides excellent and prompt customer service, and maintains a clean and safe working environment. Klickitat Valley Health is a rural, critical-access hospital located in scenic Goldendale, Washington, only two hours from Portland along the breathtaking Columbia River Gorge. KVH offers emergency and acute inpatient care and a full scope of ancillary services including General Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging, Laboratory, Respiratory Therapy, PT / OT, Behavioral Health, Dental, Pain Management, Optometry and Hospice. The hospital also owns a busy, well-established primary clinic on the hospital campus. Inpatient care is managed 24/7 by hospitalist staff. KVH employs over 300 staff. Casual positions are not eligible for benefits. Qualifications Minimum Education, Training & Experience (includes licenses or certifications): Safety Sensitive per WASB5123: NO Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required Food Handlers License Experience: Experience in the food service industry is preferred but not required. Experience in the retail industry is preferred but not required. GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Take, prepare, and serve beverages of customer choice Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment Check the temperature of refrigerator(s) Provide customers with detailed product information, including coffee blends and preparation methods. Order, receive, and stock supplies Receive and process customer payments Create materials for advertising daily dose specials, products, or events
