Head on our Parisian bakery/café concept, Mother Dough Bakery, in downtown Capella tower The Vicinity in Mill City & US Bancorp Center. This job will require you to handle all things coffee (company wide); recipes, menus, purchasing, hiring, etc. Come with us and partner in a local growing concept!
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, such as lattes, cappuccinos, and espressos
- Take customer orders and provide exceptional customer service
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area
- Follow food safety guidelines and ensure proper handling of food and beverages
- Assist with food preparation, such as sandwiches, pastries, and snacks
- Upsell and promote additional products or specials to customers
- Use Aloha POS system to process orders and track inventory
Skills:
- Basic math skills for cash handling and calculating change
- Ability to provide friendly and efficient customer service
- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and espresso machine operation
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with cash register operation and cash handling
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of sales techniques to promote products and increase revenue
