Miel Bakery is an independent artisanal bakery where all our breads, viennosierie and desserts are made daily with premium French ingredients from scratch by a small, passionate team. We are primarily a takeaway with an extremely fast paced environment.
We are looking for an experienced barista with a passion for specialty coffee and high-end baking who is reliable, punctual and offers compassionate service to to our regulars as well as new customers alike.

Experience:

• Barista: 1 year (required

• Making delicious coffee quickly
• Greeting and serving customers, primarily behind the counter and sometimes at their tables
• Learning about our French pastries and explaining them to customers. Enabling them to make well informed choices
• Working the till
• Keeping the counter full by communicating requirements with bakers and consolidating pastries and putting forth a beautiful display
• Assisting bakers as needed
• Completing daily closing checklist, including cleaning, restocking, organising and resetting for the next day.
• Maintaining terrific hygiene and presentation in store
• Tidying up customer seating area and general presentation.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Barista experience (1 year at least)
• Good latte art (essential) - please send photos of your work
• Experience working in a fast paced customer service environment
• Food safety training (Level 1)
• Strong people skills and a happy disposition
• Customer service experience
• Well presented manner
• Strong interest in baking
• Ability to work weekends
• Fluency in English

Successful trials will go through comprehensive training, delivered by senior team members, to teach them with our operations, processes and our selection of products on offer.
