Creative Dining Services at Delta College is looking for part time Baristas. The Barista maintains operations at the coffee shop while maintaining a positive environment, which provides fast, efficient, and friendly service ensuring a quality experience for both our customers and team members. The Barista is responsible for customer service, product knowledge and education, and encouraging safe work practices. Start Date: July to early August Available Shifts: Midday: 8:00am - 3:00pm Closing: 1:00pm - 6:30pm NO WEEKENDS!! Core Responsibilities: * Prepares and presents food & beverages according to established recipe and presentation standards. * Provides service to the customers in a positive, friendly, helpful manner. * Responds proactively to prevent customer service situations. Investigates and resolves customer incidents, documenting if necessary. * Runs a register, other devices and Credit Card Machine accurately, following all cash handling procedures. * Follows current trends in the coffee business and makes operations suggestions. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: * High school diploma or equivalent preferred. * One year of retail or six months of specialty coffee experience. * Basic computer knowledge.
