As a BC Café Barista, you will be the face of our café, providing exceptional hospitality while preparing coffee, espresso beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks. Requirements Position Summary The BC Café Barista is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, preparing high-quality beverages, maintaining café cleanliness and organization, and creating a welcoming atmosphere that reflects DoubleTree hospitality standards. Essential Responsibilities Guest Service Greet guests in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner. Provide outstanding customer service and create positive guest experiences. Accurately take customer orders using the point-of-sale (POS) system. Offer beverage recommendations and product knowledge when requested. Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally. Beverage Preparation Prepare coffee, espresso beverages, teas, and specialty drinks according to We Proudly Serve Starbucks recipes and quality standards. Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation standards for all beverages. Ensure products are prepared safely and efficiently. Café Operations Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked café environment. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health standards. Assist with opening and closing procedures. Monitor inventory levels and notify management of replenishment needs. Support overall café operations to ensure smooth service throughout the shift. Process cash and credit card transactions accurately. Qualifications Previous barista, coffee shop, food service, retail, or customer service experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Basic cash-handling and computer skills. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Availability to work flexible schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
