JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Barista to join our team at our trendy coffee shop. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee and customer service, with the ability to create a welcoming environment for our guests. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. It is also very fast-paced at moments, so you must be able to have a good memory and move fast.

EXPERIENCE

• Previous barista experience or experience in the food service industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and knowledge of various coffee types is a plus.
• Proficiency in using POS systems such as square is beneficial.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math applications are essential.

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items in accordance with established recipes and standards.
• Operate the square POS system efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and addressing their needs promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including workstations, equipment, and dining areas to adhere to food safety standards.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, supplies, and food items.
• Perform basic math calculations for cash handling and sales transactions accurately.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
• Engage with customers to promote menu items and enhance sales opportunities.
