JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista / Server for a new “grab & go” cafe’ located in Mississauga. The candidate must be available for the morning shift from 6:30 am.
As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and prepared food items. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, sandwiches, salads & soups according to established recipes.
• Operate the POS system efficiently, to process transactions accurately.
• Engage with customers in a friendly manner, providing recommendations and ensuring satisfaction with their orders.
• Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling practices.
• Assist in food preparation and serving, adhering to food safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and dining spaces.
• Skills
• Previous barista experience is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with patrons.
• Time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling procedures is essential.
• Familiarity with the food industry and food service operations is a plus.
