Here’s what you’ll be doing as a Barista: As a Barista at Kevin's Bistro, you are responsible for crafting high-quality beverages with care, and processing take-out orders with speed, and consistency. You are passionate about coffee, friendly service, and creating a positive atmosphere for every guest. From expertly pulling espresso shots to recommending menu items, you play a key role in both the guest experience and the overall flow of the restaurant. Reports To – Restaurant Manager and Supervisors Duties and Responsibilities: * * Prepare and serve espresso-based drinks, teas, smoothies, and other specialty beverages * Make all non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages according to Stella’s specifications, maintaining production expediency and quality * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station and surrounding area * Provide friendly, accurate, and efficient service to all guests * Answer incoming phone calls politely and professionally, providing information about menu items and hours of operation. * Communicate with Front of House and Back of House staff to ensure smooth service * Follow all Stella’s protocol in taking, packaging, checking and processing payments for Door-Dash and take-out orders to ensure accuracy and quality * Ensure all items served are entered into the POS System prior to producing them and ensure all payment transactions are accounted for * Keep supplies stocked and communicate low inventory to management * Perform cleaning duties associated with barista station * Adhere to Manitoba Food Safe requirements * Provide support to the Front of House team * Other duties assigned Qualifications: * * Manitoba Smart Choices certificate * Previous barista or café experience is an asset, but training will be provided * Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with the team and guests. This includes verbal and written communication and active listening to understand and respond to instructions and requests * Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure * Strong attention to detail and drink presentation * Demonstrate a strong ability to work in a team-oriented environment * Flexible availability to work a variety of shifts including days and evenings. Weekends are mandatory.
