We're seeking a Barista to join our TERI team! Join us at TERI’s Common Ground Café & Coffee Bar, where great coffee meets a greater purpose. The TERI Campus of Life models a more integrated society where the entire community learns, creates, and lives well side-by-side.   Your Role & Responsibilities – * Promote new and special menu items, educating café’s menu, and answering questions. * Process transactions in POS system to accept payments by handling and/or processing cash or credit card payments by following appropriate cash handling procedures. * Review café’s inventory to restock food and beverages, such as sandwiches, pastries, coffee beans, teas, smoothies and all other menu items on display. * Create a welcoming and one-of-a-kind experience for customers. * Restock utensils, napkins, coffee and tea supplies, and all other items. * Learn about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation, and presentation techniques to improve food and beverage quality.  * Maintain awareness of promotions of new and specialty menu items and update display signages to attract customers. Qualifications – * High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). * One year of related experience and/or training in Food & Beverage. * California Responsible Beverage Service Certification. * County of San Diego Food Handler Card preferred.
