Job Details Job Location: Lititz, PA 17543 Salary Range: $14.00 - $16.00 Hourly Barista, FT 7am - 2pm every other weekend/holiday Position Summary: creates a warm, welcoming, and engaging dining experience for residents and guests. Prepares and serves coffee, beverages, and light meals while providing exceptional customer service tailored to the needs of residents. The ideal candidate is friendly, attentive, and committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment that promotes dignity and respect for all residents. This position may also fill in for a hospitality attendant on occasion. Reports to: Director Culinary Services Primary Essential Responsibilities Customer Service & Hospitality Greet residents and guests with friendly and respectful demeanor. Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently. Provide personalized service to meet the unique preferences and needs of senior residents. Ensure a positive and engaging dining experience for all patrons. Barista & Food Service Duties Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages to standard recipes. Assemble and serve light meals, snacks, and baked goods. Maintain knowledge of menu items and daily specials. Monitor food and beverage quality and presentation. Cleanliness & Safety Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the café, dining areas, and equipment. Follow all food safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling and storage of food items. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Teamwork & Communication Collaborate with kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure smooth service. Communicate resident feedback or concerns to supervisors promptly. Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required. Administrative & Operational Support Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems for order entry and payment processing. Restock supplies and monitor inventory levels. Assist with opening and closing duties, including setup and breakdown of service areas. Inventory Management: Manage inventory and related products. Training: Attend all required in-service training, department meetings, all team meetings, participate in additional in-services, and attend monthly team meetings and quarterly all team meetings. Timely completes all required training. Customer Service & Compliance: Provide excellent customer service, maintain integrity, adhere to corporate compliance, and HIPAA policy. Time Management skills, quickly adapt to changes, be mentally alert. Flexible, caring, and ability for harmonious working relationships. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or as a barista/server. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated knowledge of safe food handling, sanitation-, Serve-Safe-, HAACP standards, and infection control. Understand and assist in the delivery of special diets ordered by the physician. Basic computer skills, customer service, and familiarity with therapeutic diets. Ability to work effectively with older adults in a respectful and compassionate manner. Basic math skills for handling transactions and operating a POS system. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. Preferred: Experience working in a senior living, healthcare, or hospitality environment. Food Handler’s Certification or willingness to obtain upon hire. Familiarity with dietary restrictions and special diets common among older adults. PR/First Aid certification is a plus.
