OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated farm hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will complete various farm operations, ensuring the completion of daily and weekly tasks. We are looking for a driven, hard-working, dependable, “you see it, you do it” person who can fill this position. Preference will be given to the person who has excellent references from past facilities and can be the main person to complete the day-to-day tasks of the facility. We require someone with reliable transportation, who has excellent time management skills, and who is dedicated to providing the best care possible at the facility.
The schedule would ideally be 5 days a week including one weekend day.

SKILLS

• Horse care experience is a requirement.
• Proficiency in operating hand tools and farm machinery is an asset.
• Ability to multitask and take initiative on completing tasks with little supervision.
• Strength for heavy lifting. This job is physically demanding and you must be able to keep up and complete tasks efficiently without prompting from management.
• Excel at time management and organizing other employees and tasks.
• Ambitious and driven to provide exceptional care and become the right hand of the facility.

Work Location: In perso

• Water and feed horse pens.
• Facility maintenance and cleaning.
• Daily turnout, blanketing horses, medication and extra feed administration.
• Operate and maintain hand tools, and farm machinery (tractor and skidsteer).
• Perform field maintenance tasks such as pen cleaning, fence repairs, and general yard work.
• Assist in heavy lifting activities such as lifting hay bales and feed bags.
• Oversee herd health and weekly tasks.
