Highfield is hiring a Barn Hand to join our team!
With a primary focus on thoroughbred horse breeding, Highfield Stock Farm is one of the leading consignors in Alberta and represents many clients throughout the province. Our 1000-acre farm features the finest equine facility consisting of individual paddocks, and a state-of-the-art breeding complex, and has a team of industry professionals on site to provide expert care and management.

This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary in a unique farm setting. Schedule is 5 days on, with 2 days off during the week, 7am-4pm. Weekends required. No staff accommodations available.
Duties include but are not limited to:
· Daily horse care (feeding, watering, grooming, etc.)
· Assisting with veterinary and farrier work
· Barn chores as/if needed
· Willingness to learn required horsemanship skills
· Willingness to work as part of a hard-working team
· Capability of being responsible for completing all daily tasks associated with horses, barn and paddock areas
Horse experience is required. Experience with mares and foals, and young horses is preferable. Horse experience must be seen on resume and must be willing to provide references.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is quick on their feet, brings a positive attitude and loves working with a great team!
