Responsibilities

Specific duties and responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring all of the team are recruited, trained, managed and developed in line with The Venues Collection standards and guidelines.
  • Ensuring consistent delivery of exceptional service in line with all brand and hotel standards to meet and exceed guest expectations.
  • Regularly reviewing standards and procedures and implementing new ones, as required, to enhance the business.
  • Driving the sales to ensure budgeted figures are achieved.
  • Ensuring control of all costs including payroll, as per the budget.
  • Stock control and GP management to achieve budgeted figures.
  • Ensure a team structure is constantly in place within the department to meet the needs of the business.
  • Labour turnover within the department to be in line with hotel targets.
  • Regularly review all feedback relating to the department and take actions to address any shortfalls and enhance for the future.
  • Ensuring maintenance of the required level of stock and equipment.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and company/hotel standards and procedures, including but not limited to those relating to liquor, data protection, health and safety and food hygiene.
  • Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness is achieved and maintained within all departmental areas.
  • Ensuring the department is represented at all meetings as required and in line with Company standards.
  • Adapt a hands on approach within the F&B departments and as part of the wide hotel team.
  • Carry out Duty Management shifts.
  • Any other duties, as requested, in line with the needs of the business.
