Job Description The Bartender at Raffles & Fairmont Doha is responsible for preparing and serving beverages, including cocktails, wines, and spirits, to guests while providing exceptional service that reflects the luxury and sophistication of the brand. The role requires a strong knowledge of mixology, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to create an inviting atmosphere for guests. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and customer preferences. Provide excellent guest service with a friendly, professional, and courteous demeanor. Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including stocking supplies and managing inventory. Engage with guests to provide recommendations, answer questions, and enhance their overall experience. Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards in handling food and beverages. Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for alcohol consumption. Handle cash and process payments accurately and efficiently. Collaborate with the F&B team to ensure smooth bar operations and exceptional guest satisfaction. Attend training sessions to stay updated on new products, techniques, and hospitality standards. Assist with opening and closing duties, including cash reconciliation and cleaning. Qualifications Previous bartending experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or upscale bar setting. Strong knowledge of cocktails, wine, spirits, and other beverages. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and commitment to quality and presentation. Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory. Fluent in English; additional language skills are an advantage. Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks related to the role. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
