REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous bar and/or food handling experience is essential.
  • Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification for Victoria.
  • Food Handling Certificate (preferred, but not essential).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
  • A positive and proactive attitude, with the ability to work well in a team.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting duties.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for energetic, cheerful, and hardworking individuals with previous hospitality experience to join our team. As a food & beverage team member, you will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks (including cocktails), assisting with food service, and ensuring guests receive outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, a positive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with our recipes and standards.
  • Assist with food handling and service in compliance with food safety standards.
  • Ensure responsible service of alcohol in compliance with RSA guidelines.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, creating a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere.
  • Maintain a clean and organised bar and food service area, including restocking supplies and cleaning equipment.
  • Handle cash and operate the point-of-sale system accurately.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Assist in setting up and closing down service areas before and after each cruise.
