JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a passionate, bright, confident, hardworking and customer-oriented experienced Barista who is happy working in a busy environment to join our small but vibrant team. We do offer training to all new staff but for this role we will want someone who is fully trained on the coffee machine. The candidate will be someone wanting to work towards lone working on quieter shifts, you will need to be reliable, self motivated and able to switch between tasks and customer service effectively. Although we need someone part time now, we might be looking to make them full time in the future, if they’d be interested
At The Crafty Fox, we aim to give an experience to all our customers that creates a relaxed sophisticated yet welcoming and friendly atmosphere. We have only been here for a month and we are aiming to build and maintain a consistently busy café from morning right through to the evening with an outstanding reputation for customer service and quality food and drinks.
As a Bartender/Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming environment for our customers while expertly crafting high-quality beverages and waiting tables. Your ability to manage time effectively and provide exceptional hospitality will be key to ensuring our patrons have an enjoyable experience. Must be as happy pouring a glass of wine of a craft beer as you are making a perfect latte!
We offer all staff 40% staff discount on food on shift with certain drinks free throughout each shift. We also offer a 20% discount when off shift on all food and and most drinks.

EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is highly preferred.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous.
• Experience in barista role is required, bartending essential but training is provided.
• Knowledge of licensing law essential.

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, beers and specialty drinks.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, including equipment and utensils.
• Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking their orders accurately and efficiently.
• Waiting tables and communicating with kitchen staff effectively.
• Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales.
• Assist in managing inventory levels and restocking supplies as needed.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during peak hours.
• Potentially a keyholder/lock up position for the right candidate.
• Cocktail/Mixology skills a definite bonus but training can be given in this area.
