POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking a skilled and personable Bartender/Mixologist to join our hospitality team in an upscale senior living community. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about crafting high-quality beverages while creating a warm, engaging, and respectful atmosphere for residents and their guests. The ideal candidate understands that hospitality in this setting goes beyond drinks—it’s about building relationships, enhancing daily experiences, and contributing to a vibrant community lifestyle. *This is a non-tipped position* KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including classic cocktails, signature drinks, and customized requests. Engage with residents in a friendly, respectful, and attentive manner, fostering a welcoming social environment. Develop seasonal and themed drink menus that align with community events and resident preferences. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area in compliance with all health and safety regulations. Monitor alcohol consumption and ensure responsible service at all times. Collaborate with dining and events teams to support community functions, happy hours, and special occasions. Manage inventory, restock supplies, and assist with ordering as needed. Uphold high standards of presentation, professionalism, and hospitality. Clear all tableware and glassware from tables and the bar after service. Prepares garnishes for bar use. Prepares snack trays. Maintains all documents necessary to accurately account for resident and guest charges. Assists supervisor with inventory of supplies. Assists in maintaining a high level of customer service for our residents and their guests. Maintains safe and sanitary conditions in the work area. Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned. Requirements CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS Education & certificates: A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. A valid state-required alcohol service certification (or willingness to obtain. Experience competencies, and skills Previous experience bartending in a hotel, restaurant, or club is required, preferably in upscale hospitality settings. Knowledge of mixology techniques, cocktail recipes, and beverage trends. Wine, beer, and spirits knowledge. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine interest in working with older adults. Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor, and peers. Requires courtesy, tact, and graciousness. Ability to create a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Special requirements Must be 21 years of age or older. Available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
