The Bartender position at QG drives our mission forward by providing an environment that makes our guests want to stay, and come back when they’re finished. Through genuine service, and high quality drinks, our Bartenders are a key part of the success of any one of our store locations. Our Bartenders are all about Peace, Love, and Dillas (also Tequila)! Primary Responsibilities Know recipes for the Quesadilla Gorilla menu, while also pursuing constant growth to learn other mixed drinks. Maintain FOH cleanliness and overall environment for guests. Properly serve alcoholic drinks to guests. Maintain standards of prep for bar including juices, syrups, infusions, garnishes, etc. Restock beers and liquors for the bar Maintain bar cleanliness during open and closing shifts Maintain FOH cleanliness during open and closing shifts. Guide guests through the Quesadilla Gorilla experience Display knowledge of food items as well as liquor options. Skills Here are some of the most important skills you should have to start as a Bartender at Quesadilla Gorilla: Friendly Personality Team member Self-motivated Cooperative Enthusiastic attitude Great communication skills Customer-oriented Required Skills/Abilities Ability to read and follow instructions. Good verbal communication skills. Basic understanding of or ability to learn basic sanitation and regulations for safety.. Ability to work efficiently and quickly. Must be able to work well as part of a team. Must be able to work well under pressure. Education and Experience Prior bartending or serving experience preferred. ABC Certification preferred (If you don’t have one, you will need to obtain certification after being hired). Physical Requirements Prolonged periods standing and walking. Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the restaurant. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times. Quesadilla Gorilla Bartender Hours The QG Bar has two bartender shifts: Open and Close. The Open shift runs from 10am-4pm, and the close shift is 4pm-10pm. Quesadilla Gorilla Bartender Work Environment Working in the hospitality industry means operating in a fast-paced environment. There are always guests to serve, drinks to craft, and orders to prepare. As a Bartender at Quesadilla Gorilla, you will be on your feet for the duration of your shift. You should be comfortable working in a tight space alongside other team members and thrive in a high-energy environment where alcohol is served. While your primary focus is crafting quality drinks, providing authentic hospitality, and building genuine connections with guests at the bar, this role also requires cross-training in basic kitchen operations. Bartenders are expected to: Perform minor food prep as needed Understand basic quesadilla assembly and recipes Step in to prepare quesadillas during breaks or slower periods Support the team during high-volume moments We operate as one team, and flexibility is essential. Your ability to assist across positions helps maintain smooth service and a strong guest experience. This position requires repetitive motion and strong attention to detail. You will regularly be stooping, reaching overhead, shaking drinks, and moving efficiently within a compact workspace. You must also be able to lift packages weighing 50 pounds or more during deliveries.
