Job Title: Timber Room Bartender
Department: Food & Beverage
Reports To: Restaurant Manager/Restaurant Supervisor/F&B Manager/Banquet Manager
Works with: All Timber Room Staff and or Banquet Staff
Wage: Starting at $17.40 per hour plus tips

SUMMARY:

The Timber Room Bartender is responsible for consistently measuring and pouring wine, beer, and cocktails to Crown Isle specifications and providing support to the floor staff. The Bartender must be knowledgeable about mixology and capable of mixing traditional drinks as well as crafting creative cocktails. A great Bartender will increase customer retention and loyalty by mixing and serving quality cocktails with impeccable customer service. this is an excellent position for a person with only a little serving experience to become stronger and eventually move into a serving role. Will need Serving It Right.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Must have valid Serving It Right Certification

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, and the public
  • Ability to deal with challenging guest situations in an effective and positive manner
  • Ability to listen to guest’s concerns and find a positive solution
Responsibilities
  • Treats each guest with respect in delivering top-notch professional service to always ensure a Five-Star experience.
  • Responsible for taking accurate orders from guests and ensuring a quality beverage is professionally presented
  • Enforces proper ordering protocol among the Servers.
  • Maintains a detailed and accurate inventory of products behind the bar.
  • Maintains a consistent bar cleaning schedule.
  • Should be prepared to suggest both food and beverage recommendations - must understand unique and complementary flavor pairings.
  • Should be able to upsell menu add-ons, drinks, and desserts.
  • Is familiar with current menus from preparation to presentation and can provide accurate information to guests including all ingredients.
  • Ensures that proper cash handling standards are met.
  • Adheres to all Departmental guidelines and standards as set out by the Food and Beverage Management Team.
  • Adheres to safety standards and is familiar with Company Policies & Procedures.
  • Must always maintain a professional and welcoming appearance.
  • Is responsible for being prepared to start shift on time each day.
  • Is able and willing to perform any other duties as may be required from time to time.
