In this role you will provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional experience for all of our members and guests. You will mix quality beverages, provide prompt and consistent service while upholding FFC values. You will report directly to the Cafe & Bar Manager. Position: Bartender Job Type: Part-time/Seasonal Location: FFC West Loop Compensation for this role is $12.62/hour plus tips *Must have a BASSET Certification* *Must be at least 21 years old or older* Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide a clean, safe, and healthy environment for members, guests, and co-workers Every staff member, regardless of position, has a primary and urgent responsibility to clean and disinfect all club components as they are used by members and guests and yourself. Help retain and attain new members through club promotion and customer service excellence Accurately follow recipes for all beverages; must have thorough knowledge of all beverage offerings and prices Provide prompt and consistent bar service to members, guests and servers Set up and break down bar - stock and restock bar according to prescribed par specifications; clean bar thoroughly in accordance with standard operating procedures Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the bar and all common areas and service stations; clean glasses, utensils, bar equipment, bar tops, refrigerators, and all other equipment and work areas Accurately charge guests for purchases; enter order into the point of sale system, collect payment and return all change Provide information to guests including beverage menu descriptions Be prepared to begin work at scheduled time Maintain uniform and personal grooming in compliance with appearance standards Other duties as assigned by the customer service manager Qualifications: At least one year of previous bar-tending experience Energetic and enthusiastic personality essential Must be able to effectively understand and convey written and verbal information to members, guests and coworkers Must have comprehensive knowledge of beverage recipes Basic computer skills are required Must possess a service orientation – actively looking for ways to help others Will work for extended periods of time without sitting Required to lift heavy items such as liquor boxes and ice bins etc. Responsible for bar till; proper cash handling is required Must be 21 years of age or older Physical requirements include: walking and standing during the entire shift (often 4-8 hours), climbing stairs, kneeling to clean floors, pushing and pulling objects, lifting and moving objects (up to 50 lbs.), and cleaning
