About Us
Wentworth Hospitality Group (Tableau Bar Bistro, Homer St. Cafe & Bar, Maxine’s Cafe & Bar) is looking for Bartenders for Folietta, their new Italian restaurant concept. Located in Vancouver’s storied Nanaimo and Grant neighbourhood, we are looking for a candidate with an ambitious mindset, drive and creativity to bring this concept into Canada’s 100 Best Bars! If you have a love for Italian food, a passion for cocktails, Italian spirits and Amari as well as determination to lead a top-notch bar team, this is the role for you!

Position Responsibilities

  • Providing fast, friendly, professional, and responsive customer service to restaurant guests, restaurant staff and culinary production team.
  • Greeting and welcoming each guest seated in their assigned station.
  • Being very familiar with all food and beverage items on the menu.
  • Selling on a consistent basis, while continuing to create new opportunities and strategies for increasing the cheque average.
  • Performing the opening and closing procedures i.e., the set up and break down of stations, clearing and re-setting up of tables, etc.
  • Maintaining and ensuring the overall cleanliness of assigned station(s) and establishment.
  • Performing accurate cash & credit handling as well as POS procedures.
  • Protecting the restaurant and guests by complying with sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Valid BC Foodsafe Certification & BC Serving it Right Certification.
  • Experience: prior experience in a food-serving establishment.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule, days, nights, and weekends.
  • Must be punctual and reliable.
  • Ability to work varied hours.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with guests and employees.
  • Customer service focus and quality orientated.
  • Adaptable and flexible.
  • High energy level.
