The Role: As a Bartender, you will be mixing and serving beverages for customers according to established guest service standards. Responsibilities: * Foster an environment that embodies Bally’s Born to Entertain philosophy by creating a fun-filled, entertaining atmosphere * Enthusiastically promote Bally’s customer-centric culture of offering superior guest service and actively building long-lasting guest relations * Serving customers as part of a team by anticipating their needs, initiating conversation, offering assistance and advice and remembering that “the customer is always right” * Greeting guests immediately * Taking drink and/or food orders from customers or beverage servers * Collecting payment and follows cash handling procedures * Ordering or requisitions liquors and supplies * Washing glasses * Maintaining clean and sanitary bar area * Monitoring guest alcohol consumption and acts according to established alcohol awareness program guidelines * Resolving guest complaints * Taking breaks only when approved by the Manager * Keeping a clean and professional appearance at all times * Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: * Must be 21 years of age or older * Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Illinois Gaming Board * Must be a high school graduate or equivalent * Must have six months or more related experience * Must have alcohol certification * Must have knowledge of beverage order processing systems * Must have open work availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays What’s in it for you: * Competitive Salary with annual performance reviews * Comprehensive health coverage plan that includes medical, dental, and vision * 401(K)/ Company Match * Access Perks and Childcare discounts * $7 Daily Employee Parking * Target Salary Range: $25.90/hr Physical Demands & Work Environment: * Frequently required to lift up to a maximum of 30 pounds * Frequently required to push, kneel, climb, stoop, bend, and twist, as well as reach overhead * The work environment contains bright lights, loud noise, and stressful situations.
