Job Summary:  The Bartender @ the Element Tukwila hotel will prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to patrons, oversee stock of liquor and bar supplies, and collect money for drinks & food served. Your goal is to provide Level5 Hospitality and service for each and every guest! (This is a Full-time employment opportunity w/ Benefits. Required shifts would be MONDAY-THURSDAY, typically. Shift hours typically between 4pm-11pm; sometimes longer, depending on hotel business demands.) Duties/ Responsibilities:  * Receives B&F orders from patrons * Prepares and serves liquor, mixed drinks (if required), wine, beer, and soft drinks as ordered, as well as light-fare food orders. * Ensures that fruit and other garnishes are prepared ahead of the opening of the bar * Maintains the bar and keeps it clean and organized * Attractively displays glasses and liquor bottles * Maintains the bar with the necessary brand-required items * Ensures that customers are of legal drinking age by checking photo IDs * Collects payment from customers for drinks & food prepared and served * Uses proper judgment and, when necessary, refuses service to patrons who are intoxicated or disruptive * Submits requisition forms for liquor, beer, wine, bar menu food, and other bar-related supplies to Supervisor Required Skills/ Abilities:  * Basic knowledge of drink preparation and/or service (preferred, but not required) * Excellent interpersonal skills and focus on serving customers with exceptional service * Ability to remain calm when dealing with unruly and argumentative patrons  * Ability to learn the POS register software used by bar   Education and Experience:   * Completion of mixology, barkeeping, or other related training preferred (MAST Permit Training) * At least one year of related experience preferred   Physical Requirements:  * Must be able to remain in a stationary standing position during shift. * Must be able to access and navigate the facility. * Employees are required to adhere to safety requirements by wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment. * Work is routine and repetitive in nature and may require strenuous physical exertion at times, including the ability to move objects weighing up to 50lbs. Monday-Thursday evenings. (4pm-11pm on avg.) 40 hours per week on avg.
Responsibilities
The Bartender will prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and light food orders to patrons while ensuring the bar area is clean, organized, and well-stocked. Responsibilities also include checking customer identification, collecting payments, and refusing service when necessary.
