PURPOSE To prepare and serve beverages to guests in a manner that is consistent with the Beverage Department’s standards. To provide superior guest service, ensuring a high-quality experience while maintaining a clean and organized bar area. ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES Beverage Preparation and Service: Formulate and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards. Guest Service Excellence: Ensure an exceptional guest experience by offering drink recommendations, informing guests of specials, and utilizing product knowledge to enhance service. Cash Handling and Transactions: Accurately ring up transactions, process payments, and adhere to established cash handling policies. Stock and Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain par levels of all bar products and supplies, ensuring that the bar is always stocked and ready for service. Workstation Organization and Cleanliness: Set up and close workstations in compliance with established procedures, maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient bar area. Alcohol Service Responsibility: Use MAST training to monitor and prevent over-service and address any alcohol-related concerns with guests. Communication and Teamwork: Maintain clear and consistent communication with bartenders, wait staff, and management to ensure seamless service and quick resolution of any issues. Event Support: Assist with setting up and breaking down events as needed, ensuring all necessary supplies are in place for smooth beverage service. Waste Management: Regularly empty trash and maintain cleanliness in all work areas, ensuring sanitary standards are met. Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the bar operations and enhance the guest experience. Requirements REQUIREMENTS Education and Experience One (1) year of guest service experience. Six (6) months of bartending experience or completion of an accredited bartending school. Alternatively, completion of an internal fast-track bartending program (3 months). PREFERRED Skills and Abilities Above average knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and other beverages. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, safety rules, operating procedures, and procedure manuals. Strong communication skills to engage with guests and team members effectively. Ability to perform basic math functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel exercises Snoqualmie Tribal Member/Native American preference in hiring, in compliance with the Snoqualmie Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO). You must obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Snoqualmie Gaming Commission. Pre-employment drug testing is required for all positions. The use of marijuana will not disqualify an applicant for positions in any department other than Transportation (Valet, Driver I). DOT panel testing is required for the Driver position.
