Position Overview Our Bartenders are a crucial member of the bar and restaurant team, responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while providing excellent customer service. This role involves mixing drinks, managing the bar area, and engaging with guests to enhance their overall dining or nightlife experience. Bartenders must possess a strong knowledge of drink recipes, customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Duties and Responsibilities Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Customer Service: Greet customers, take drink orders, and provide recommendations, ensuring a positive and welcoming atmosphere. Drink Preparation: Mix, garnish, and serve drinks according to established recipes and customer preferences. Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of alcohol, mixers, and supplies; assist in ordering and restocking items as needed. Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including glassware, tools, and work surfaces. Cash Handling: Process payments, handle cash transactions, and keep accurate records of tabs and sales. Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service and cleanliness standards. Engagement: Foster relationships with regular customers and create a lively, enjoyable environment. Skills and Abilities Required Mixology Knowledge: Strong understanding of drink recipes, preparation techniques, and cocktail presentation. Customer Service Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to handle customer requests and complaints gracefully. Multitasking Ability: Ability to manage multiple orders and tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in drink preparation and payment processing. Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items, such as kegs or boxes of supplies. Dynamic Environment: Typically works in a bustling bar or restaurant setting, often during peak hours, requiring high energy and focus. Variable Hours: May include late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays, depending on the establishment’s operating hours.
