We are looking for energetic and courteous Bartenders, who will jump on board with our goals of providing pleasant and memorable experiences for all our guests. Kentucky State Parks hire seasonal Bartender positions during Parks’ peak season from March through December each year. As a seasonal (interim) Bartender, you will be eligible for paid leave and paid holidays. Other perks include tons of employee discounts! Our Bartenders prepare and serve adult beverages and food to guests at State Parks – and perform other duties including the following: Sets up lounge area for guests, mixes drinks, serves drinks and food, and cleans up lounge area. Prepares guest checks and collects payments from guests. Checks food to assure that appearance, temperature and portions are correct for guests. Completes liquor requisitions and supply lists. Performs prep work including cleaning and stocking the lounge area, preparing garnishes, glassware and mixers. Maintains the dining and lounge areas in compliance with all safety, food and health department requirements. Performs other duties as assigned. You may be required to work overtime or alternate work schedules, lift heavy objects, work on your feet for extended periods, and frequently communicate in person or by other means of technology. Salary listed is an hourly rate (plus any tips earned). We look forward to hearing from you! Minimum Requirements EDUCATION: High school graduate. EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Must have one year of experience in food service operations. Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: NONE SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must be eighteen years of age. Must obtain S.T.A.R. (Server Training in Alcohol Regulations) certification from the Kentucky Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control within 90 days of employment. Must complete the Department of Parks alcohol training before serving alcohol. Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification.
