Description The Bartender at Turtle’s Poolside Grill is responsible for delivering elevated, friendly, and efficient food and beverage service to resort guests while maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming bar environment. This role plays a key part in the overall guest experience at Sunflower Beach Resort by providing exceptional hospitality, maintaining professionalism, and supporting a fun, relaxed coastal atmosphere. Key Responsibilities Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to resort standards Provide excellent guest service with a positive, professional attitude Accurately take food and beverage orders and process payments through POS system Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, beer, wine, and cocktail offerings Ensure bar setup, cleanliness, and stocking are completed before, during, and after shifts Monitor guest alcohol consumption and follow all TABC guidelines and responsible serving practices Maintain cleanliness of bar areas, coolers, storage spaces, and guest-facing areas Assist with poolside food and beverage service when needed Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, cups, and supplies throughout shift Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, management, and fellow team members Fulfill all opening and closing duties including cash handling and side work Maintain a polished appearance and uphold Sunflower Beach service standards at all times Support resort events, activities, and high-volume weekends/holidays as needed Requirements Qualifications Previous bartending or hospitality experience preferred Must be 18+ years old (21+ preferred) Valid TABC Certification required Food Handler Certification required Strong communication and guest service skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Weekend and holiday availability required Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to lift up to 40 pounds Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to move quickly and safely in a busy environment Position Expectations Bartenders are expected to create a welcoming and elevated guest experience that reflects the Sunflower Beach brand. Team members should be proactive, attentive, professional, and focused on delivering exceptional hospitality while maintaining operational standards and cleanliness throughout Turtle’s Poolside Grill.
