The Mixologist & Bartender is a key position within the front-of-house team. This individual shapes the tone, creativity, and consistency of the Cuvée Bar program while delivering warm, refined, and approachable hospitality. This is not a transactional bartending role. This is a hospitality-driven position. The ideal candidate brings elevated mixology experience, prior success in upscale restaurant environments, and the ability to mentor a team while executing at a high level during peak season. Key Responsibilities: Beverage Program Execution of the Cuvée cocktail program with consistency and precision Develop seasonal cocktail features aligned with coastal and Mediterranean influences Ensure alignment between the bar program and the wine-forward identity of Cuvée Bistro Maintain recipe standards, costing awareness, and product integrity Support menu evolution in collaboration with leadership Mixology & Craft Execute classic and contemporary cocktails with technical excellence Utilize fresh ingredients, house-made syrups, and thoughtful garnishes Demonstrate strong understanding of: Classic cocktail families; Modern mixology techniques; Spirits and liqueurs; Wine fundamentals and pairings Deliver champagne and wine service confidently Guest Experience & Hospitality Create an inviting, energetic yet refined bar atmosphere Engage guests in confident, conversational service Educate guests on beverage selections without being intimidating Build relationships with repeat local and hotel guests Set the tone for “quality without formality” Operational Excellence Oversee bar organization, prep, and cleanliness Assist with inventory control and ordering Ensure compliance with all alcohol service regulations Maintain high Forbes-level presentation standards (Please note: We do not sponsor or employ individuals for this position who are employed under another location’s H-2B visa program. Requirements You've got this, if you have… Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in upscale, wine-focused, or boutique restaurant environments Strong mixology foundation and wine knowledge Experience working within a cohesive restaurant concept (not nightclub-focused) Ability to perform under seasonal peak demand Wine certification (WSET / CMS Intro) or formal mixology training is highly valued.
